17 Ways to Use Essential Oils to Clean Your House

Thank you for all of these tips. I have been using essential oils for a very long time, mainly to manage some health issues. You gave me several new uses for oils that I am going to try. Essential oils are so powerful on many levels. I wish that more people would take them seriously.

So do you add water or anything to the drops when making the spray?

Since essential oils are fairly concentrated (and can be pricey) I would mix with some water to make it go farther. The more water you use the less strong the spray will be!

Can we please address the “baking soda and vinegar as a cleaning method” thing. Yes it creates a cool reaction. Yes baking soda is scrubby (and alkaline) and vinegar is acidic. But what you have after the fizz has gone is… water.
You’re cleaning with water and oil.
