17 Ways to Use Essential Oils to Clean Your House

To naturally disinfect your countertops, try a mixture of essential oils. Add three drops each of lemon oil and tea tree oil to a bit of warm water. Put the mixture in a spray bottle and, voila, use it to disinfect your counters!

    Thank you for all of these tips. I have been using essential oils for a very long time, mainly to manage some health issues. You gave me several new uses for oils that I am going to try. Essential oils are so powerful on many levels. I wish that more people would take them seriously.

      Since essential oils are fairly concentrated (and can be pricey) I would mix with some water to make it go farther. The more water you use the less strong the spray will be!

      Make sure you add a small amt sea salt ..to prevent bacteria grow in the water!!

    Can we please address the “baking soda and vinegar as a cleaning method” thing. Yes it creates a cool reaction. Yes baking soda is scrubby (and alkaline) and vinegar is acidic. But what you have after the fizz has gone is… water.
    You’re cleaning with water and oil.
