If you or a family member likes to smoke in the house, you can use essential oils to get rid of and/or mask the smell. Put four drops of rosemary, tea tree and eucalyptus oil in a spray bottle and then spritz it around your room, focusing on heavily smoked-in areas.

Thank you for all of these tips. I have been using essential oils for a very long time, mainly to manage some health issues. You gave me several new uses for oils that I am going to try. Essential oils are so powerful on many levels. I wish that more people would take them seriously.

So do you add water or anything to the drops when making the spray?
Amber says
Since essential oils are fairly concentrated (and can be pricey) I would mix with some water to make it go farther. The more water you use the less strong the spray will be!

Make sure you add a small amt sea salt ..to prevent bacteria grow in the water!!

Can we please address the “baking soda and vinegar as a cleaning method” thing. Yes it creates a cool reaction. Yes baking soda is scrubby (and alkaline) and vinegar is acidic. But what you have after the fizz has gone is… water.
You’re cleaning with water and oil.
