A super simple way to make things look neat and get them organized is by using a curtain. Just attach a curtain around tubs, wall storage, or anything else. You just put the toys behind it, pull the curtain, and everything is cleaned up!
Zip pouches are great for small things like toy cars and puzzle pieces. I especially like them for puzzles because it cuts down on storage—no more bulky puzzle boxes everywhere. You could even cut the picture off the cover and stick it in the pouch.
Use pegboards to store big toys like trucks and doll houses. This keeps things a lot more neat and organized and also gives a place for everything so that you’re not constantly stepping on and tripping over things.
For outside toys, use pails or buckets to store and organize them! Label each bucket and keep them on a shelf so that they’re always easy to find. Store things like toys, chalk, etc. You could also do this idea for inside toys, too.
I love the idea of using a magnetic track to store cars and trucks. This makes it so that they stay in place and don’t end up as tripping hazards scattered all over the floor!
Instead of jamming all the stuffed animals into storage bins (which usually wastes space or ruins the stuffed animals), use cords to store them. You simple put them in a box and use cords over the front to keep them in place.
If your kids’ toys stay in their bedrooms, then make some great under-the-bed storage! This will keep things neat and out of the way when not being used; plus, it may even get your kids to stop being afraid of underneath the bed! A win-win!
Don’t waste space with seating or chairs that don’t double as storage. You can get desks, tables, chairs, benches, and tons of other furniture that also act as storage devices. We all know that, when it comes to kids’ toys, you can’t ever have too much storage!
