19 Things to Put on a Porch

Home Bunch recommends not scrimping on lighting. Lights can make a big difference in the entry way of your home, and they help to make the porch more useable in the evenings.

I like the drink station idea. I also like a nap on the porch at night, that swinging mattress is awesome. I don’t know if I would get up.

Our family home is a brick Georgian with beautiful wide brick porch with doric columns and nothing looks good on our porch except for matching ferns in black urns or matching flowers in chippendale planters. The space is so formal nothing else seems to fit. I have never seen anyone successfully put furniture on a formal porch.

Love the drink station idea!!!! And the couches. You know what I think makes a beautiful front porch? Having one of those beautiful glass doors like you see in New Orleans and Savannah.

We have a swing bed under our house at the beach, it is awesome. (that I built!) Lots of pillows, use it as the focal point. I have swings and chairs plus a couple of tables on our front porch at home. I have a baby mattress, so I am going to cut down the plans for my swing bed with a twin mattress, and make one for the porch here using the crib mattress. http://www.wooditsreal.com (My bed is the one with the red and white striped bedding.) Thanks for the ideas. I really, really love the idea for the lights. Awesome.
