We all know that exercising, eating well, and avoiding destructive habits are important in aging well. But how about these interesting tips?
1. Have a happy marriage. Love will keep you alive!

2. Forgive. Holding grudges can take its toll.

3. Expand your social network as you age. You never stop needing friends!
4. Get your Zen on. Stress affects your emotional, psychological, and physical self, and prolonged exposure to extreme stress can lead to disease. Manage stress through relaxing activities.
5. Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep doesn’t just affect you the next day. Extensive periods of poor sleep can affect your lifespan.
6. Be resilient. This basically means that you can bounce back from difficult setbacks. You are able to adjust and cope well with challenges. You don’t despair!
7. Participate in education. You don’t need to pursue a doctorate degree, but never stop learning!
8. Exercise your brain. Keep your brain sharp throughout your life to stay sharp as you age. Lumosity is a great resource for brain exercises!
9. Humor yourself. Have a good laugh often—studies have shown it can extend your life! (And even if it doesn’t, you’ll still be happier!)
10. Do what you love. Don’t give up favorite hobbies and activities as you age. You may need to adapt them as your body changes, but that’s OK! Doing what you love keeps you active and engaged in life.
