8 Kitchen Upgrades You Can Do In a Weekend

My youngest child turned 6 over the weekend, and I had the duty of throwing her the most EPIC Moana party ever. The weather didn’t cooperate this weekend, and we had to hold the festivities indoors. And that’s when I realized; my kitchen needs a little TLC! My kitchen looked drab, dingy, and completely embarrassing. I did #4 in one day, and my whole house looked more party-ready.

Coat the insides of your pantry doors in a layer of chalk paint. Attach a piece of chalk to the door on a string, and use it to keep your grocery list easily accessible. Another idea from Martha Stewart.

The space under my kitchen sink looks like a cleaning caddy blew up. Literally. Hooks, bins, and baskets are an easy way to organize your cleaning supplies. One more from Martha Stewart.

Update the “face” of your kitchen by decorating with brightly pattered towels and accessories. I love to decorate with mason jar herb gardens, they add lush greenery AND they’re effective to have around when cooking. A bouquet of flowers is a fantastic idea, as well!
