DIY Headband Ideas

1. My sister-in-law wears a braided headband.  I absolutely love it! It’s very simple to make, too.

2. The slip-hook headband is fun. Just create a loop with one half of the fabric, then slip the other half through to make a “knot.” Stitch the ends together, and that makes the back of the headband.

3. Try a lace headband with jewel accents—this is so cute for a baby!

4. A tied-in-front DIY headband is as simple as it gets. Start with a 2-3″ strip of stretchy fabric, then tie it in a knot at the top! See this idea on Pinterest.

5. A sailor knot headband is really cute from nothing other than an old t-shirt!

6. How about a reversible headband? With just a few of these, you get enough headbands to wear with every outfit!

7. Spruce up a plain headband with pearl beads or other embellishments.

8. Crochet or knit a headband! These are too cute not to try! They’re the perfect baby shower gift.

 9. Every girls needs a non-slip DIY headband. One of the worst things about headbands is when they slide off your head. Use non-slip fabric to fix that problem.

10. Convert one of your favorite long necklaces into a DIY headband. This is one of the simplest ideas out there!

11. Cut some t-shirt fabric and stitch it into a headband. It’s comfortable and perfect for any time of day.

12. Look at these cute lace headband bows! Make one for every one of your baby’s outfits.

13. Here’s a DIY headband idea that is cute as button. Let your girls pick out a bunch of buttons they like, and make this cute headband together. You’ll need 1/2″ elastic cut to fit their heads, and enough buttons to cover the top 2/3. Glue the buttons to the elastic with a bit of hot glue, and for extra insurance, teach your girls how to sew the buttons on after the glue dries.

14. I love this turban headband. These are great for days when you just don’t feel like doing your hair.

15. Ribbon  flower headbands are adorable and easy to make. If you don’t want to use ribbon, glue your flowers onto Dollar Tree headbands or cut elastic.
