15 Weekend Projects Under $20

The Every GirlΒ painted gold dots all over the accent wall of this living room. I love the way this looks–so fresh, fun, and sophisticated. And all you need is a stencil or stamp and some paint! Easy and inexpensive!

Is it possible to do this in a shower floor. My shower tray is all worn out and do not want to replace the whole shower. It is fiberglass?

I would think that all the water between the stones would quickly create an environment for mold/ mildew to grow. It would be extremely hard to keep clean, in my opinion.

Why not seal it like tile? My son purchased tiles like that and put them in his bathroom

Do you have an online source to purchase rocks like those pictured?

I love these and might make one for my bathroom although I might add a layer of cork between the mat backing and the rock so it would absorb water.

Did the cork work to absorb the water?

That’s what I want to know too! Will it absorb? Will it deteriorate? Will it get moldy? Sure would like to know!

What a fun weekend project. I wonder how those stones will feel under your feet. I bet if you pick the right ones, they will give you a mini foot massage when you step out of the shower.

Will the rocks not become too slippery when stepping on them wet? I’m worried I might slip when I get out of the shower or even near the sink. Has anyone tested this yet?
